Using The Archives for English
Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre contains a wealth of material useful for supporting students study of English language including:
- original manuscripts from 1150 to the present
- newspapers from 1760s to the present
- letters and diaries
- Published works in Wiltshire dialect

Visits to the History Centre
Sessions at the History Centre will use some original material from the archive. All visits to the History Centre include a tour of the strongroom and use of our public facilities; lockers, toilets, vending machines, area for eating lunch. There is full disabled access and a disabled toilet.
