The Wiltshire & Swindon Archives hold collections of most of the parish and town councils located in the county of Wiltshire and the borough of Swindon.

Parish Councils were formed under the Local Government Act in 1894 and many of our records start from that date. Parish Councils took on some administrative duties from parishes and so occasionally we can find records from earlier than 1894 in a Parish Council collection, or records from later than 1894 in a Parish collection. However, where possible, the collections are kept separate.

This page provides quick access to the catalogues for each parish and town council. It is divided into parishes, which may now be combined parish councils. This is shown where possible.
