The Wiltshire Conservation & Museums Advisory Service comprises the Objects and Archive Conservation teams.

Objects Conservation
Our object conservators work with a variety of clients, providing support and advice on all aspects of collections care, to ensure the preservation of objects and collections for the future. Our team has specialist knowledge of a broad range of materials, and work with a variety of object types, including archaeology, ethnography, natural history, social history, ceramics, glass, modern and hazardous items.

Archive Conservation
Our archive conservator is responsible for the conservation and preservation of archival material held within the Wiltshire and Swindon Archives. Archive conservation includes continued preservation of the archives by maintaining a suitable storage environment and the physical repair and stabilisation of damaged material where appropriate. This requires expertise in paper and parchment material, maps and plans, photographic media and books.
